ANUGA is a food and beverage exhibition held every two years, this year it celebrated the 100th existence. The exhibition occupies an area of 284,000 sqm with more than 7,400 participants from over 100 countries and has attracted at least 170,000 visitors from more than 198 countries. A total of 23 Indonesian companies participated in this year’s ANUGA exhibition

The 2019 InterTabac exhibition is the largest exhibition in the world for tobacco products, along with all kinds accessories related to it. This year marked its 41st exhibition. The exhibition is held annually. More than 560 exhibitors from 64 countries took part in the exhibition and has managed to attract at least 10,000 visitors from various countries around the world. On this occasion, as many as seven Indonesian companies took part in the exhibition.

The Spoga-Gafa Exhibition is the leading annual exhibition for outdoor furniture in Germany. The exhibition occupies an area of 230,000 square meters and focuses on outdoor products. The number of exhibitors this year reached 2,150 participants from 64 countries with around 40,000 visitors. 18 Indonesian companies participated in the exhibition and registered independently

Genuss Festival Köln was such a hit, we decided to partake in Genuss Festival again, this time in Düsseldorf. The location of the festival is in and around Koenigsallee, a main boulevard located in the heart of Düsseldorf. Very lively

On July 28th, 2019, Directorate General of Domestic Trade of The Ministry of Trade of Indonesia and ITPC Hamburg were organizing an event in General Consulate of The Republic of Indonesia in Hamburg, called Campaign for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products. This event was an effort to expand the use of Indonesian products by Indonesian citizens and Diaspora, who live in Northern Germany. Since the Indonesian domestic products are produced in rural area, buying and using them would contribute the development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the area, which then drives the nation’s economy. The well-known Indonesian export products are, for example, false eyelashes and Mercedes Benz’ exhaust pipe from Purbalingga, Barbie doll from Cikarang, Indomie, Tolak Angin, GT Radial tire, Polygon bikes, Bodypack bags, Brodo shoes, The Executive clothing, etc. This event was attended by around 50 highly enthusiastic guest, who reside in Hamburg, Bremen and Lower Saxony.

Interzum was the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design, which was held from May 21st to 24th, 2019 in Cologne, Germany. Three highlighted product categories in the Interzum 2019 were Materials and Nature (wood, veneers and parquet flooring); Functions and Components (lamps, cabinet and interior fittings); as well as Textile and Machinery (upholstery, leather and adhesives). This specialized fair was participated by more than 1.800 exhibitors from 60 countries and attended by more than 70.000 specialized trade visitors. Together with Germany’s Import Promotion Desk (IPD) and Industry Attaché of Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia in Brussels, ITPC Hamburg were opening an Indonesian Pavilion with three Indonesia-based light-weight wood companies. The joining companies were PT. Hasil Albizia Nusantara from Surakarta, PT. Pinako Rotari Permai from Semarang and PT. Rama Gombong Sejahtera from Gombong. These companies were offering plywood, wood boards and other wood products that made from Sengon wood (Albizia chinensis). During the exhibition, a business gathering, which was supported by Trade Attaché of Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia in Berlin and General Consulate of The Republic of Indonesia in Frankfurt, was also organized to welcome 50 buyers.

Genuss Festival Köln is a gourmet festival for food lovers. The location is located in and around the Köln Chocolate Museum (Schokoladenmuseum Koeln). The festival is open to the public and is full of stalls which present a variety of product categories, including the following: exotic fruits and vegetables, cigars, tobacco, wine, other alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks, chocolate, coffee, cooking accessories, and kitchen utensils. The main attraction is “foodtruck gasse”, where all kinds of street food is presented.

Kieler Woche Festival is festival held in Kiel, focusing on boats & ships. The festival is the largest boats & ships festival in the world attended by more than 3 million visitors from 70 countries. Besides boats & ships, there are international booths that offer a variety of culinary and souvenir products from 35 countries. At this festival, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Hamburg rented space for Indonesian pavilion booth located at Der Internationale Markt auf dem Rathausplatz. The Indonesian Pavilion was joined by two Indonesian companies (Hanung Crafts dan Radiance of the East)

World of Coffee 2019 exhibition is an annual exhibition specializing in specialty coffee products and equipment for coffee production. The exhibition was attended by many roasters, baristas, producers and distributors of coffee products. The number of exhibitors this year reached 341 participants from 59 countries with almost 12,000 visitors.

Two Indonesian companies participated in the exhibition independently

Lange Nacht der Konsulate is an event organized by the federal state government of Hamburg, it is held annually and participated by various Consulates in the city of Hamburg. It is a concept of an “open house”, which is open to the public. the Indonesian Consulate General in Hamburg had the opportunity to introduce and promote Indonesian culture. ITPC Hamburg participated by opening a display stand with several Indonesian products and prepared a goody bag for the visitors.
