Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2017 which was held in Indonesian Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE BSD), Tangerang, Banten from 11th to 15th of October 2017 with the theme of “Global Partner for sustainable resources”, officially opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, accompanied by the Minister of Trade and a number of Cabinet Ministers, Head of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Governor of Banten and a number of Indonesian overseas representatives as well as foreign representatives in Jakarta. ITPC Hamburg, which facilitated 13 (thirteen) potential buyers during the TEI event 2017 has also successfully convinced German buyer (Flores Farm GmbH) and Indonesian seller (PT. Profil Mitra Abadi) to make a purchase agreement for coconut sugar, beans, and dried fruits products through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the amount of USD 2 million. Overall, the results of facilitation “one-on-one meeting” and “business matching” which is conducted by Indonesian representatives to potential buyers from Germany has generated potential export transactions with the amount of USD 5,3 million. In addition to facilitating potential buyers from Germany, ITPC Hamburg also actively participated in various additional activities, which were carried out by the Ministry of Trade and other state Institutions, including participating in the TTI forum: “Breakthrough to Improve Indonesia’s Profile in the World” and regional discussion: “Strategy to Enter German Market”, conducted by the Ministry of Trade, “Opportunities and Potential Distribution of Indonesian Workers Overseas”, conducted by BNP2TKI as well as “The Introduction and Opportunity of Indonesian Export Financing”, conducted by the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI).
